Literacy

Literacy is the ability to read and write. Today in Church I asked a little girls who loves to come sit with me if she could count 1 through 5 and to my amazement, she counted 1 through 20. She even asked me for a paper and pencil to write it. I provided her a tiny paper and pencil and she was so excited to write on. The ability to read and write is certainly a right for every children.

Adieu Boris Ntanŋri

Boris is described by his mother as an Angel whom the Lord gave to be with her for the past 18 years. She took wonderful care of him and became so attached to him. She described Boris as a special child who knew no sin. She will even be loved to call Mami Boris despite the normal norm that people avoid referring to your child when he or she is no more. Even though she will miss Boris so much, she will be able to take care of her family too that has been missing her attention all this while. Boris Mom reminder everyone present that the prayers and masses that will be offered are more for the living and not necessarily for Boris who has gone to be with the Lord. This was very powerful in my opinion. The father appreciates God for giving them Boris and comments that who else could Boris has been given to. It was hard for them seeing the child go through difficult health crisis but yet he was a very happy boy. He was laid to rest near his ancestors on August 23 2014 in Mboʼliv, Nseh.
Will the same be said of me and you when our eyes are closed? Let love lead!

My Girls Love Computers!

Faith & Caritas love computers. I just introduce them to work on something and they learn by doing it and asking questions. That approach actually seems to work out well. Little by little they are learning a lot by playing around with computers.

Weird Accident in Sop

Early this morning I was heading to Nseh (Mbo'live) for a funeral. When we approached the bridge in Sop (Shuundzəv Sov), we saw a huge crowed gathered around the bridge looking into the river in a rather surprised mode. I pulled over to find out what was happening too and to my greatest surprise, there was a car in the stream. See the details in the photos below. Everyone who saw this and heard that the driver survived said that a miracle most have happened. From what I heard, the driver of the car was Yeika Louise of Freedom Inn Jakiri. Louise was actually my Biology teacher in G.B.H.S Jakiri some years back.
