Training in Dschang with the Yemba People
Working with the Yemba translators in Dschang. Even though the translators have been using paratext software over the years, they are now amazed and excited as they are seeing how this software is helping them to check and fine-tune the Word of God in the language of their heart - Yemba
Leadership Retreat
In May we had a leadership retreat in Kribi. This was a time to talk about organisational issues and also to have some fun. We were able to jump into the atlantic ocean and enjoyed the water very well.
Family time
Spending time together as a family is Lovely, Joyful and Peaceful. On the first of may, we had a brief time of relaxation at Saddle Hill Ranch in Bafut. It was really to just take a bit of time out of our normal busy schedules and relax and enjoy ourselves.
Training the Babanki
30th April 2016, two Babanki Bible Translators requested that I help train them on how to do their back translations well so that their consultant can help them and speed up their work. We spent a an entire day to revise and reteach what I had earlier thought them. At the end of the day, they were already making a lot of progress with back translation. Two weeks later, they finished all what they needed to back translate and emailed it all to their consultant. They are very happy to have made this progress and are now ready to work with their consultant.
Training the Ngomba Team
I spent three days in Mbouda working with the Ngomba people group training on how to use paratext software so as to do their work well. I also took care of all of their IT problems during this trip. After this training, the team was able to speed up their work and even were doing it much better than before.
