IT & Training in Misaje August 2015
I am doing IT work and training in Misaje this week. Here we have little solar power, little mobile Internet but several viruses! Today I had to pull out HDDs from several laptops to clean of viruses and equally clean all the USB drives that the teams use for their work. It is good to see 6 teams of 4 men each from different villages in this cluster working together in the same office. The most exciting thing is the way they engage in studying the word of God every morning before they begin work. This is a good way to be the first ones to start enjoying the Scriptures even before they are finally ready for their communities. Misaje is a beautiful place.

CABTAL Print on Demand (POD) Service
Print on demand (POD) is a printing technology and business process in which copies of a book (or other document) are not printed until an order has been received, allowing books to be printed singly, or in small quantities. CABTAL has acquired some equipment and is setting up such a service. I spent a week in our head office in Yaounde working with Denis and Joseph from the States along with my Cameroonian colleagues learning the terminology, principles and techniques of transforming electronic documents into hard copy books. It all started timidly but at the end of the day, we were all able to smile as we could hold in our hands copies of books after they had gone through the entire process of printing, cutting, laminating, binding and trimming. It is all amazing how we can easily make even one book or several copies without a lot of stress that goes on in big printing industries.
Slippery roads in Bamenda
It is not easy to move around when you do not have a car. Even if you have a card, it has to be strong enough to take you around slippery roads when it rains. We use motor bikes quite a bit but when it rains you ought to be very very careful lest you fall very easily. The best thing to do like in my case, it to alight from the bike and then let the rider go pass the really bad spots before you climb again. If you are like me, you can take photos while the rider is taking care of the bad spots.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be Baptized.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins was the message that got last week at our Church that saw five people coming into faith. After processing the gospel for quite a while, these ladies and gentleman finally went down deep into the water as a symbol that they have buried their sinful path to walk in newness of life with Jesus. It was such a joy and we look forward to fellowship together and growing in our faith as we sharpen one another.
One of these ladies (Kelly) is Lily's apprentice so we are happy that the Bible studies that Lily has been having with them has not only been for the mere sake of information but has caused Kelly to give her life to Christ.
The only man who was also baptized has two of his sons who are very strong members of our Church. I do not know the details of his story but it is amazing to have a man baptized in front of his children. They will surely want to follow their father in his new found faith.

Celebrate with dancing
The weekend of July 31st 2015 started out very stressful for my wife because the GCE Board had started reading out names of successful candidates for the 2015 session of the General Certificate of Education Examinations (GCE). Too bad electricity went off for 24 hours so it became even difficult to listen to the radio. Phones died down too. Even more so, the SMS system with MTN to get the results was not working either. Messages sent will take more than 20 hours to get a response. But things turned out to be really good as my wife passed the GCE Advanced Levels. She got two papers out of the three she had reason. So for that reason, there was a lot of celebration and dancing by everyone in our house and I spent time taking the photos. It was really good because our friends especially Emmanuela and Sciporah also passed.
We are really thankful to the Lord for making it possible for my wife to get over this milestone. This is a very significant achievement in our life. I really appreciate my wife's hard work and dedication.

Teech me komputa! Teech me komputa!
My brother in-law's children Alberto (7 years old) and Angelo (four years old) are visiting us this summer holidays. It has been fun having them around and getting to see some differences between the two of them. This shows us how God has made each one of us unique. Alberto takes his time but his brother is little bit hyperactive. We always have lots of fun with all of them. Angelo will touch things and ask questions but Alberto has a very joyful smile.
Since I am always gone most of the day and only return at night, I hardly have enough time to spend with them. This weekend I was spending some quality time with them and Angelo came to my room, sat on my desk and said "teech mi komputa", "teech mi komputa" So I asked him, do you like to work on the computer and he said yes with a big smile. I got a computer setup and he both of them are having fun together. Alberto can actually do better on the computer but Angelo thinks that Alberto doesn't know much. It is fun with kids.
