At this time of the year, Lilian is always looking forward to one thing from up country - that is mushrooms because this is the season for this precious stuff. She knows her to prepare and can this in airtight containers and we enjoy them even when mushrooms are no longer in season. On our way to the village, we bought some for my Mom who also sees it as a delicacy since such stuff do not grow at all in our area. We were very lucky to meet these young girls selling on our way back in the late evening. Lilian could not resist buying and I could not resist taking a photo. I look forward to eating it one of these days in its natural state. Praise the Lord for providing all these for us for very little cost.

Funeral of Mama Margaret Kerka Ngong
March 17 was the day we finally laid to rest the mortal remains of our Mother Mama Margaret Kerka Ngong. Eventhough we have a lot of pain in our hearts, this is equally an opportunity to celebrate her life. She has been a wonderful person over the years and has touched many lives. This was quite evident by the crowd that turned out to bit her farewell. The Lord was so gracious and held the rain so that nothing disturbed the funeral. The Lord was so gracious to us to drive safely from Bamenda to Kimar and back.
Household accidents
The night of the 17th saw God again protecting us in an amazing way. We had a safe trip to the Nso to bury our Mama and got some goodies from the village as usual. One of such as very sweet pineappeles from our farm at Mensai. When we got home, I really wanted to eat pineapples and nice bananas all from the village. Caritas prepared fruit salad from the pineapples and the banana and decided to boil the pineapple peelings to make some juice out of it. Lo and behold she went to bed and left the pot on the gas. When I got up at 6am, the pot had been on the stove from 8:00pm to 6:00am - 10 hours!!! This is how the pot looked like and the smell in the house was not good. We are so thankful that in all this, the Lord protected each and everyone of us from the worst that could have happened.

Bible Scholar Training March 2018
March 4th to 9th 2018 at the CABTAL Chapman Center in Yaounde was the second edition of the African Bible Scholars training in Cameroon less than 6 months ago from last December. I was excited to be one of the facilitators teaching ParaTExt and helping with other practical software related needs. It was truly a huge lesson experience for me as I sat through the sessions. As the theme says "Training and mentoring Cameroon Bible Scholars in a changing world", may that change truly came and through me as well.
Learning that LASTS March 2018
From the 26th of February to the 2nd of March 2018, we successfully had the first Learning that LASTS lead purely by Cameroonians at the CABTAL Bamenda Regional Training Center with the leadership of Francis Barah, Keyeh Emmanuel with Gabriel Tekumafor and Dieudonne Nsalar participating as Interns. He was truly an amazing experience with 10 learners from various backgrounds in CABTAL. I personally learned a lot working with the team and with the learners. I look forward to doing this again in the near future.
