Teaching Practice November, 2012

I really did not think I will enjoy teaching teenagers but it turned out to be an exciting adventure for me.  Although teenagers need a lot of attention for learning to take place, I am beginning to enjoy it and really look forward to teaching even some more.
For one thing, I realised that it is very important to make sure your students are understanding what you are teaching them.  Do your best to bring it to everyday life and they will surely understand and even appreciate it.  I was teaching a class on File & Folder compression (zipping and unzipping files).  These are technically difficult terms especially to students who do not own or use a computer to begin with.  I talked about tying up a mattrass and untying it again to be able to use it.  I could see the faces of my students beam up because they could relate this easily and thereby understand the jargon.  Although I was happy they understood me well enough, I was rather happy because every time I teach, I discover how to make them understand better.

Celebrating the life of Karl Grebe

Baa (Karl Grebe) went to be with the Lord on the 9th of December 2012.  It was very difficult to hear the news of his death.  Even though I miss a mentor, model and father in him, this is also an opportunity for me to celebrate his life as I choose to focus on how he lived his life than how he died.  I have known him for eleven years for which I am so thankful that the Lord brought us together.  It was very timely for me as Baa Charles taught me to believe in Jesus and to read the word of life in my heart language Lamnso'.  He also taught me to trust in the Lord with all my heart.
Wír ve á kiiy jeéyjeéy fó vinyòo wíy a dzə kév, a ran, a njàʼkìr moo rán ye yí fəə́ fo kikùm keé yuv. Áwune vin ve á danèr wíri, aá yii mo Nyùy taʼàa wíy a ban moo mejiy, a ban bèy, e dù, e jòʼsì. Daniel 12:3

Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. Daniel 12:3

During the time of the funeral, it was good to connect with Charles, Michelle, Daniel & Esther GREBE

Many are the deaths of the folly but few are the deaths of the righteous like you.

Baa, thank you very much for your self-less service on the Lamnso' Bible and Lamnso' dictionary.  These books will direct many unto paths of righteousness as described in the verses on Daniel above.

Until we meet again in glory, a ber ni len.
