May this Easter bring you joy, renewal, and a deeper appreciation of life's blessings. When we constructed our home in Yaounde and moved in during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was challenging because people were expected to be mostly indoors. We soon noticed that all the water that we collected in our tank would quickly go away. It was not fun, but later on, we realized that neighbors really suffer from having drinking water. Recently, we started thinking that it would be a good idea to share the Lord's blessings to allow our neighbors to carry water from our property. But we have to increase the capacity of our well. God has sent some abled men who can dig it very deep. We are excited and looking forward to living water pouring out and refreshing not only us but our neighbors as well.
Lilian has been undertaking a teacher training course, where she's gained valuable insights into educating children with diverse learning needs. During her teaching practice in a public school, she encountered pupils who arrived without basic supplies, such as pencils. To address this, she creatively divided her pencil into smaller pieces to help some of the children. Recognizing the broader need, she later purchased new pencils for every pupil, which became a fun and memorable experience for the kids. Her experience is that teachers in government schools are overwhelmed for some reason, leading to minimal learning opportunities for children.
In response to the Ŋwɛ/Ŋwa community's persistent request, we embarked on a training initiative centered around Bloom software. The primary objective was to equip participants with the skills needed to create talking Bloom books, enabling them to produce audio/video versions of Scripture for use within their churches. For three days, I had the privilege of guiding them through the introduction of Bloom, and the experience was nothing short of inspiring.
Witnessing the enthusiasm and genuine interest of the participants was incredibly rewarding. Their eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies was evident, reflecting their dedication to enhancing language learning and fostering deeper Scripture engagement within their community. As each day progressed, I could see their confidence grow, and by the end of the training, the smiles on their faces spoke volumes.
