Reconnecting with My High School Class

My high school class, the Batch of Hope, held its third Annual General Meeting in Limbe on Saturday, 25 July 2026. It was a joyful opportunity to reconnect, enjoy fellowship, celebrate our shared journey and plan initiatives that will benefit both our members and our alma mater.

I had the privilege of sharing a devotional based on Psalm 126:3: “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” We reflected on God’s faithfulness through our different life journeys and were encouraged to remain grateful, strengthen our friendships and make a positive difference wherever God has placed us.

I also used the opportunity to remind my classmates that they can access and read the Bible on their mobile phones. It was a simple but meaningful way to encourage greater engagement with God’s Word through digital Bible resources.

Small beginnings, great possibilities!

As the World Cup comes to an end, I look at my little nephew Bright, who is visiting us and loves playing with his ball. I am helping him learn that he is free to enjoy it in the yard, while the living room is better suited for other activities.
As I watch him, I wonder what the future holds. Could he one day become a football star? There is simply no way of knowing now. However, every great player, leader or servant of God once began as a child whose potential was not yet fully visible.
Transformational leadership means recognizing God-given potential, encouraging it, providing loving guidance and helping people develop discipline and character. We may not know what a child will become, but we can faithfully nurture what God has placed within them.
“Do not despise these small beginnings.” Zechariah 4:10
Today, it is Bright and his ball. Tomorrow, only God knows; but the journey of growth has already begun.
