About 80 CABTAL staff from all over Cameroon gathered for one week in Bamenda in Bamenda from Monday July 27-July 31st to retreat, brain storm. See how things have been and then look at the way forward. The theme of the 2015 Personnel Forum and Planning was "Understanding the times and seasons" drawn from 1Chronicles 12:32 "From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take".
Rev. Godson Nembo Full Gospel Cow Street Church Pastor was really used by God to share with. It was very encouraging to understanding that we need to understand the times and the season and to accept that change is there and must come.

Wedding Bells (Willy & Edith)
Today 24th July 2015 marked a very special day in the life of our friends Wilfred Nyuydzewira and Edith Bonglam. What a blessing to see humble and Christ field lady getting married to my childhood friend and brother. Thank you Lord for adding to our family. Lord may you bless this couple and make them a blessing to those around them. May the purpose of their lives be to know you more, serve you more and make you known too.

Holiday makers chez nous
This summer holidays we've got quite a few kids visiting us some for a very brief time and some for an extended time. It is a joy to have these young people around. We all went to church today and it was so exciting. We spend time doing a few chores and watching a movie (the sound of music) today. I watched my wife having to take care of 11 plates today something that does get to happen a lot at our home. We are thankful to have a home for ourselves and for others too.
Also our neighborhood is getting more and more people. We recently worked on our drive way

Accident at our neighborhood today
While we were in church today we heard a very loud and strange noise. People started shouting too. When I rushed out, I saw that a beer truck had knocked down an electric pole and the high tension cables were sparking. Good enough, the pole on the other side of the road and so the truck driver was not hurt. This was quite scary as no one wanted to approach it and as bikes will ply at high speed, people were seen shouting so that the bike rider will not run into this and create a bad scene.
I called ENEO in Douala and they responded very well. They asked for the description and promised to call the Bamenda office and a few minutes after the Bamenda office called me asking the precise location and some details. They later send some technicians to take care of the situation. The mess was cleaned up a little bit but the bare high tension cables are still hanging on and very close to the ground so if a truck passes there, the situation might not be a good one. Some of these poles along the way are like traps. They are either rotten at the bottom or like in our case eaten up by termites.

Everything works together for our good in God's perfect timing
Yesterday I got a call from one of our translators that he was going to come see me for a template to use in making their Christmas story. I asked him to send me and email but when the email came through, I read that he was coming for two things. Christmas story template and training to do consistency checking in Paratext. I immediately wrote back that he should not come because I was not going to have time right away. He didn't check his email before coming so he just showed up in my office. I had to help him because I could not send him back empty handed. Even though we spend several hours doing things I didn't plan, it was rather very fruitful and I realised that he was already doing lots of consistency checks by himself making my work even easier. It was very encouraging for me to see that Dickson is working so hard and even knows what he is doing. Pray for protection on their equipment and for good health for all the project workers.

Hard work can be rewarded in many ways!
In 2013 we worked so hard in school while studying for the HND program. The reward of the hardwork was that we passed well and as if that was not the enough, the president of the republic gave us a scholarship so those of us with a GPA of 3.0 and above were called to the Ministry of Higher Education MINESUP to pickup a small token. This was a time to remember how we burnt the midnight candle at National Polytechnic Bamenda. Education is good and learning actually never ends!
Meet my school mates, Kimbi Joan and Tiku Abel here.
