Last week I was teaching literacy workers to use a computer program called Bloom. Bloom is actually a program that was designed with new computer users in mind and it has special features to guide users so in actual fact, people need less training to use Bloom. Bloom can help more people get involved in building a large collection of books in the local language...Some of my learners are very interesting and I learn a lot from them too. One of them actually describes the mouse arrow on the screen as a spear and the process of clicking as shooting with a spear. This is probably because when you click, something happens... I am always on the look out for such easy way of explaining things so that they can connect properly with my content. The other day, they thought I was very fast just to realize that they are instead the ones that are very slow. We all laughed about that.
